Για ένα από τα μεγαλύτερα προβλήματα της Ανατολικής Αττικής, την έλλειψη αποχετευτικού δικτύου, πραγματοποιήθηκε συνάντηση με τον υπουργό Περιβάλλοντος Ενεργείας και Κλιματικής Αλλαγής κ. Παπακωνσταντίνου, του βουλευτή Αττικής κ. Π. Ασπραδάκη και αντιπροσωπείας του Δήμου Σπάτων - Αρτέμιδος, του δημάρχου κ. Χ. Μάρκου και των αντιδημάρχων κ.κ. Μάρκου και Μαργέτη.
Κατά τη συνάντηση, που πραγματοποιήθηκε στο γραφείο του Υπουργού, ο Παντελής Ασπραδάκης ενημέρωσε τον υπουργό για το χρόνιο πρόβλημα της έλλειψης αποχέτευσης, τις προσπάθειες που έχουν γίνει τα προηγούμενα χρόνια για την προώθηση του έργου αλλά και τα προβλήματα που προκύπτουν στο περιβάλλον.
Κατόπιν οι εκπρόσωποι του δήμου εξέθεσαν τα αιτήματά τους για το ΚΕΛ Βορείων Μεσογείων, που ναι μεν θα επιλύσει το πρόβλημα της αποχέτευσης στην περιοχή αλλά να διασφαλίσει περιβαλλοντικά και λειτουργικά την τοπική κοινωνία, τονίζοντας πως θα ήταν προτιμότερο το ΚΕΛ αυτό να εξυπηρετήσει μόνο το Δήμο τους και οι υπόλοιπες περιοχές να συνδεθούν με την Ψυττάλεια.
Όλοι ανέδειξαν τους προβληματισμούς και την ευαισθησία της τοπικής κοινωνίας για ένα μεγάλο έργο που θα πρέπει να εξασφαλίζει σύγχρονες συνθήκες λειτουργίας με μηδενικές επιπτώσεις στην καθημερινότητα των πολιτών.
Από τη μεριά του ο υπουργός ζήτησε να υπάρξουν περαιτέρω συναντήσεις με συνεργάτες του, προκειμένου να ερευνηθούν και να εξευρεθούν τρόποι για την προώθηση της αποχέτευσης που θα συντελέσει αποφασιστικά στην προστασία του περιβάλλοντος για την ευρύτερη περιοχή της Ανατολικής Αττικής.
Η απόφαση του δημοτικού συμβουλίου
Όπως σας είχαμε ενημερώσει, το ΣτΕ έχει μπλοκάρει το έργο της κατασκευής του ΚΕΛ Βορείων Μεσογείων στην εκτός σχεδίου περιοχή Πλατύ Χωράφι του Δήμου Σπάτων – Αρτέμιδος. Η υλοποίηση του οποίου έχει προκαλέσει σφοδρές αντιδράσεις των κατοίκων των θιγόμενων περιοχών, των Σπάτων, της Αρτέμιδος, του Πικερμίου, της Ραφήνα, της Αγ. Κυριακής, του Ήμερου Πεύκου και της Καλλιτεχνούπολης.
Όπως αναφέρεται στη σχετική γνωμοδότηση του ΣτΕ, για να προχωρήσει το έργο θα πρέπει το δημοτικό συμβούλιο του Δήμου Σπάτων-Αρτέμιδος να γνωμοδοτήσει για τον καθορισμό της οριογραμμής του ρέματος Ραφήνας, που γειτνιάζει με το ΚΕΛ.
